Eddie Taylor Named One of Crain’s Cleveland’s Notable Black Leaders

CLEVELAND, Sept. 30, 2024 – Taylor Oswald is proud to announce that its President and CEO, Eddie Taylor, has been recognized as one of Crain’s Cleveland’s Notable Black Leaders. Nominated by their peers and colleagues, these leaders are influential, innovative and strategic. They are barrier-breaking executives, entrepreneurs and civic and corporate leaders. This prestigious honor highlights Taylor’s exceptional contributions to the community and his industry.

Taylor heads Taylor Oswald, one of the country’s fastest growing minority-owned insurance brokerage firms.  His dedication to excellence and his commitment to making a positive impact have been instrumental in the growth and success of Taylor Oswald. Under his leadership, the company has achieved significant milestones and has become a respected industry leader.

Taylor is the current Chairperson of University Hospital’s Cleveland Medical Center. Additionally, he also serves as a Board Member for the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, Greater Cleveland Partnership, Burton D. Morgan Foundation, and other nonprofit and company boards. He was founding Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Cleveland Leadership Center. Additionally, Eddie is the former Board Chairperson of the Cuyahoga County Citizens’ Advisory Council on Equity (CACE) and the Greater Cleveland Chapter of The American Red Cross.

The annual Notable Black Leaders feature is a special editorial section within Crain’s Cleveland’s Sept. 30 print issue and online, profiling top Black leaders in the region.
